My Journey

I grew up in a wooden house on Lion Rock in Hong Kong, living there until I was ten years old. Due to a typhoon, a landslide occurred near my home. As a result, the government needed to relocate us to ensure the safety of our family. From then on, our family had the opportunity to move into public housing.

In middle school, due to academic needs, my family bought me my first computer, which was equipped with an Intel 486 DX 33MHz processor. From that moment on, I developed a strong interest in IT and seized every opportunity to learn and practice. I read a lot of computer magazines and books, watched IT television programs, studied product manuals, and visited various exhibitions. To learn computer installation and repair skills, I even spent entire days at the computer store. When friends and family had computer problems, I would actively help out, working hard to solidify my IT knowledge. To learn and upgrade my computer, I saved money every month, putting all my savings into it. These efforts allowed me to consistently rank first in computer science during my high school years, and I was fortunate to represent my school in public competitions.

After graduating from high school, I directly entered the workforce. I originally wanted to find a job related to IT, but due to a lack of experience, I faced difficulties in my job search. In desperation, I first worked as an office assistant and used part of my salary to study more advanced IT knowledge in the evenings. After a year of hard work, I successfully landed a job at an IT company, starting a career in IT that lasted over 20 years.

Initially, I worked in computer technical support. Through hard work, I quickly advanced to the position of system engineer and senior programmer. During these years, I accumulated rich technical skills and practical experience, enabling me to independently complete various projects. Later, I joined a group company with operations covering mainland China and Hong Kong, serving as the head of the IT department, responsible for coordinating the IT system construction and the development and implementation of ERP software for the entire group. This experience not only allowed me to gain experience in large-scale system construction but also helped me master the basic knowledge of business management. During this time, I successfully introduced a software application that was little known in Hong Kong, which could be used simultaneously by nearly 500 users, saving the company nearly 500,000 yuan in licensing fees, and thus received the PCM Best Enterprise Solution Award. This honor influenced my approach to designing IT solutions in the future. I no longer blindly pursued large brand software but instead selected cost-effective products that met actual project needs, maximizing cost savings for clients and avoiding resource waste. This experience also motivated me to establish my own company, hoping to use my professional knowledge to help small and medium-sized enterprises develop better.

In the past, I have undertaken numerous representative IT projects, involving businesses of various sizes and multiple industries. The scope of these projects covers various fields such as system development, project management, and network and server construction. I have been deeply involved in everything from small system development to large enterprise-level systems and database integration, as well as from basic network architecture design to high-availability server clusters and cloud computing platform construction. These valuable experiences have enabled me to design comprehensive solutions from a strategic business perspective.

Technological development is advancing rapidly, and only by keeping up with the times can we achieve our best performance at work. Therefore, even when work is busy, I still participate in various training sessions after work to enhance my skills. At the same time, I also engage in various volunteer activities, hoping to contribute to society, help those in need, and make the world a better place.
